Old Shutter with Love

Hi friends, how are you today.  I’m good and today I’m sharing an Old Shutter with LOVE that is perfect for anytime and especially with Valentines right around the corner.

Do you love shutters as much as I do?  You can find them at yard sales and thrift stores for a few dollars and they are so fabulous to add some charm or cottage feel to your home.

This shutter has been around for a while.  When I found it, it was pink and had a pretty shabby n chic pink wreath at the top.

If you remember last year I painted it black and hung it in our living room near the front door.  It has been great to have as a base and add a little holiday something to it, like a wreath at Christmas when I wanted.

Here’s the pink side, very shabby and weathered but I like it that way.

Over the weekend I pulled our Gallery Wall that was on our Fireplace Mantel down and it had the word Love above it.  I’m moving it upstairs and doing a different Gallery Wall up there soon.

I used the smallest nails I had so that later if I want to change it again I can easily and it doesn’t really show.

Nice hammer huh?  It’s my hubs and it’s pretty shabby but works great.  Just keeping it real…lol.

It literally took less than five minutes to hang these Love letters.

I propped it up on my mantel for now.  I may hang it on the wall again, but truthfully I kinda like it right here.  Decorating doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.  Take a walk around your home with new eyes and look for things you can use in a totally different way.  Whether it’s old windows, an old silver trophy, a sign or piece of art that has meaning, you’ll love how it comes together and that it didn’t cost you a lot of money either.

There’s my Old Shutter with Love.  I hope you like it too.

Hi Donna, I just wanted to say thank you so much for letting me know about it being hard to reach me. I then noticed that my “about me contact me” on the right side of page was gone, along with my Instagram and Pinterest widgets too. Janel Hutton helps me with my blog and helped load it back in, not sure where it went. Just wanted to say thank you again and have a great weekend, Lisa

Wow — I just love this! I even have two shutters about the same size, so now all I need is the letters. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
